3PO Broadcast Mode

Host a live translated broadcast, or tune in with a join code.

One speaker. Many listeners. As the host speaks, 3PO translates in real time and streams the translation to every listener in the language they chose.

Built for talks, tours, classes, and public events where one speaker needs to reach a multilingual audience. Listeners follow along on their own phones — they do not speak back through the broadcast.

Download:   Android and iOS

Broadcast Mode is free during beta. After beta, it will become a 3PO Pro (paid) feature to recover infrastructure cost.

Host a broadcast

1) In 3PO, open the mode picker and choose Host Broadcast.

2) Pick the language(s) the host may speak, then pick the translation languages listeners can tune into.

3) Tap Start broadcasting. 3PO creates a 6-character join code.

4) Share the code or the link (for example https://3polinks.evergreen-labs.org/broadcast/ABC123) with your listeners.

5) Speak as usual. Listeners see live translations on their devices. There is no speak-back audio on the host phone.

6) Tap Stop Session when you are done. The broadcast ends for everyone.

Join a broadcast

1) Open 3PO and choose Join Broadcast, or open a shared broadcast link.

2) Enter the 6-character code if you were not sent a link.

3) Set My Language to a language the host offers for translation. If yours is unavailable, pick one of the host's options.

4) Follow the live transcript as the host speaks. No account is required.

Tips

• Use a quiet space and hold the mic near the speaker for clearer recognition.

• Offer the languages your audience actually needs — listeners can only tune into the translation languages you select.
